We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again—connection is everything. When we met Aaron and Ayde, it was immediately clear they were our kind of people: sweet, a little goofy, and deeply in love. We started the evening at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, one of our favorite spots in the city. The museum’s classic architecture and sweeping lawns offered a timeless, elegant vibe that fit this couple to a T. Ayde’s flowing hair in the breeze, and Aaron’s adoring glances were impossible not to notice. These two just got each other—and it shows in every frame.

Liberty Memorial

As the light began to soften, we made our way to Liberty Memorial. It’s always been a favorite sunset location of ours—something about the wide open skies, city skyline, and towering monument just screams romance. But this time, we had a little extra to work with: rows and rows of American flags, catching the breeze and adding a powerful layer of symbolism and beauty to the session..

The golden hour didn’t disappoint. The light wrapped around them like a warm blanket, and we just stood back and let their connection do the talking. Aaron and Ayde danced between the flags, walked hand-in-hand up the hill, and eventually found a quiet spot to sit and watch the sun dip behind the city. Every moment felt intimate and effortless.
